Sing a song of sorrow.
Jesus on the cross.
Time when mankind learned
too well Of suffering and loss.
Sing a song of sadness.
Mary, helpless, cries.
Grieving at a mother's loss
As the son she cares for dies.
Sing a song of promise.
Hope in what He said.
God in all His power would
raise Jesus from the dead.
Sing a song of triumph.
Mourning days are done.
God has kept His promises
By raising up His Son.
Sing a song of Easter.
Jesus Christ our Lord
Returns to us a glorious king
God's precious love outpoured.
