King For All
By Judith Shields Regini
Christmas 2002
Bells were ringing loud and long,
echoing the angels' song.
Wisemen traveled from afar,
following a brilliant star.
All were there to praise the birth
A newborn king had come to earth.
Born of Mary, meek and mild
He slept on, this new Christ Child.
Father, Joseph, stood nearby
Viewing all with watchful eye.
Jesus, nestled in the hay
Ushered in a bright, new day.
Shepherds left their flocks to find Him.
Traveling over mountain pass.
They sought one who came to save them.
Wonder-Counselor, here at last.
As they knelt before the baby
Sleeping in a manger stall.
Kings and shepherds knew for certain
Jesus Christ was King for all.
May you find God's peace this Christmas.
May you know His gentle love.
May you share the hope He brings us
As a child, sent from above.
