Christmas again! Can you believe it? How fast the busy
year has gone!
Happy carols fill the air and families travel to their homes.
Gathered all about the table, Hand in hand we stop to pray,
For the meal and for our family, mostly – for the wondrous Day.
Mary, Joseph can you tell us how so great a gift as He
came to earth a tiny infant for the universe to see?
Magi bowed their heads before Him. Angels heralded the day.
A bright star led to the stable where the infant savior lay.
Would that we could travel back there to the stable by the inn.
We would tiptoe to the manger where the baby slept within.
If we touched the tiny fingers would He wake and look our way?
Could we hold the baby Jesus on that first blest Christmas Day?
Shepherds in the field abiding, Kings that traveled from afar,
Found the very heart of Christmas following the guiding star.
May the wonder of that Christmas fill your heart
with Christmas peace.
Join with angels singing praises - nevermore will praises cease!
Merry Christmas!!
