And Time Stands Still

Life goes by at lightening speed.
No one stops.  No one pays heed.
Until one day when worlds collide
And time stands still.

Poets weep for peaceful days.
Preachers speak their words of praise.
Until that day when peace is gone
And time stands still.

Storms can break both brick and stone.
Brutality shatters skin and bone.
When the days of hope seem lost
And time stands still.

Voices raised in one accord
Seek the comfort of the Lord
He will guide us through the maze
When time stands still.
